Super evening last year with the Celebrity Chef at the Chester. Fabulous food and wine with the originator walking all the tables giving a first hand description of what's on offer. Much more intimate environment than a traditional Charity Ball and a great opportunity to mix with those at the tables. Everyone loved it and we are booked again this year and looking forward to another great evening.

A quick note to say how much Wendy and I enjoyed the Cooks Week. I know it is difficult for charities to come up with new ideas for fundraising events so it was great to be part of an event that hadn’t been tried before. Given that we don’t see celebrity chefs in Aberdeen very often it wasn’t a surprise that every dinner was extremely well supported and enjoyed by all and that a significant sum was raised. I hope very much that this can become an annual event.

We attended several of the chef evenings and they were all superb. The food and wines were amazing and the chefs took the time to chat with all the guests about the choice of menu and wines. Definitely attend again this year and support the fundraising efforts for the Neo Natal unit in Aberdeen.

The vision that Graham and Gillian had to organise a week of fantastic charity evening was inspiring. The various five course tasting menus were a breath of fresh air for Aberdeen. I hope they continue to hold these events at the Chester Hotel in the future, as I believe that they are everything that Aberdonians would support. We are very fortunate to have the availability of some of the best local produce in the world and events like the Guest Chef’s evening showcases them.

The night was exquisite; from the personal and very warm welcome from Graham and Gillian Wood at the start of the night to the attention to detail across the whole evening. Sitting have a Michelin-star dinner just a few mere miles away from home has to be one of the most special nights out we have had in Aberdeen.

We attended the Fine dining festival at the Chester Hotel in aid of Aberdeen’s Neo Natal Unit last year with friends and had two fantastic evening’s. To be able to enjoy talented Michelin star chefs from all over Britain in the wonderful surroundings of The Chester Hotel – what’s not to like! All in all this is a great addition to the increasingly vibrant food scene in the North East. I hope the festival continues to grow year on year.
